UNITING AND INFLUENCING THE P-20 EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY
Our Story / a message from our President /
It’s not often you find an education organization today that provides everything you need as a professional. With hundreds of choices vying for your time, energy, and money, the choices can be downright smarmy. I’m sure you would agree with me that by and large, determining which organizations you want to be a member can be extremely frustrating and overwhelming.
In today’s world, many educational organizations are still acting in debilitating silos day in and day out. With this type of philosophy, competition overwhelms and silences the very people educational organizations serve. The underlying - We are the best - premise seeps into the minds of the organizations leaders and members. And it’s no wonder these very groups undermine the opportunities to collaborate and cross-pollinate ideas that would better serve its constituents.
CO ASCD is reinventing how we serve you, it’s members, like no other educational organization. We are reinventing the hierarchical approach by collaborating with all types of organizations and businesses.
We are finding common interests with others, no matter what industry or size of company. We continue to share resources in order to provide low to no cost professional growth opportunities relevant now. CO ASCD is reinventing the way organizations work together building upon generosity, sharing resources, and providing greater value for educators. So today’s CO ASCD experience will be filled with networking opportunities and innovative PK – 20 resources and events developed for teaching the whole child. We are bringing together the most significant and potent tools to master while honing your craft. As your Colorado Board, we will amplify your voice and advocate for your needs by collaborating and working with other organizations aiding in your propulsion of transformational professional growth. We are breaking through the silos.
